Volunteering

get involved

Parity for Disability’s supporters keep the charity going. Our much-needed services simply couldn’t survive without you.

Whether you’d like to volunteer, donate, raise funds, or find out about working for Parity, we want to hear from you.

Volunteering for Parity for Disability

Parity for Disability has over 100 volunteers. The time they put in is worth over £165,000 each year.

Whether you just volunteer for us for a short time, or you become a Parity volunteer for life, we try to work with the time you have available and how you wish to be involved.

Below are details of volunteering opportunities. To find out more or to sign up as a new volunteer, please contact us on 01252 375581, e-mail emma.nelson@parityfordisability.org.uk, or click here to download the volunteer application form.

Volunteer within our Services

Parity’s keyworkers are all professionally trained and continue to build on their training while working for Parity. There are places for volunteer assistants. Contact the Parity office to find out about volunteering at one of the day services or on our Activity Schemes.

Volunteer in our Shops

We have three very busy, friendly shops at: 69 Camp Road, North Camp; 53 High Street, Frimley; and 9 Linkway Parade, Church Crookham. If you would like to find out more about being a shop volunteer, please feel free to drop into one of them and chat with a manager, or contact the Parity office.

Events Volunteers

Would you like to organise and run a stall for Parity at an upcoming community fete? If you’d like us to look into booking a stall for you or to discuss ideas, please get in touch.

Help Us In a Squeeze!

Sometimes during the year we urgently need willing hands for just one or two hours, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. It could be a collection, a bagpacking, a social event, or a project at one of our services. We call on our list of volunteers who may be able to help ‘in a squeeze’. Want to join the list? Just send your name and contact details to emma.nelson@parityfordisability.org.uk. Thank you!
