August 2017 – Accessible Kitchen Installed at Mytchett.

Our Mytchett day service has benefitted from a new specially adapted kitchen thanks to donations from the ACT Foundation, the Beatrice Laing Trust and individual supporter Linda Anderson. Students are now benefiting from experiencing the new kitchen, fitted by Farnborough-based Howdens – who also kindly donated the adapted oven and ceramic hob – it includes a height adaptable work surface and sink unit, which means that more students are able to participate in living skills activities. To mark the occasion the three day services competed in a bake off with the final being held between the Farnborough and Mytchett services. Judges from Howdens attending marking the Farnborough team the winners.
