Make the most of the summer with a pretty suncatcher, that you can put together along with Becky. Instructions are below the video.
MATERIALS
Paper plates (the thin cheap kind)
Scissors
Sticky back plastic
Flowers, leaves or tissue paper
Markers
Hole punch
Glue stick
Wool or string
INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by making a frame for your flower suncatcher by cutting a hole in the middle of the paper plate. (This is the bottom of the plate.) – You will need two of these.
Cut circles from the sticky back plastic which are a little bigger then the hole cut in the plate. (It will need to overlap the paper plate by about half an inch.) Again you will need two of these.
On one plate frame, stick one of the sticky back plastic circles.
Arrange flower petals, petal pieces, and leaves in outwardly concentric designs on the contact paper to create a pattern onto the sticky part of the plastic. You could also use tissue paper.
Added another circle of sticky back plastic over the top (sticky to sticky) to protect and hold the flower design in place.
Using glue stick the second plate frame over the last piece of sticky back plastic.
Punch a hole at the top of the frame and tie a loop of string for hanging.
You can decorate the plate frame using paint or pens.
