We’re delighted to share some exciting news — we’ve officially signed the lease on our new day service site!
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Parity. Our journey from operating out of St Martin’s Church to securing a dedicated home of our own has been a long and determined one. Since 2004, the church community has generously supported our work, and we are incredibly grateful for the welcome and encouragement we’ve received over the years.
For our students, this move means access to dedicated, specialist facilities designed around their needs. It means being able to fully utilise equipment and resources and most importantly, having a space that truly supports learning, development and wellbeing.
The refurbishment and fit-out of our new building will involve significant costs, and we will need to fundraise to make this vision a reality. To help cover these expenses, we are launching a dedicated fundraising campaign. Every contribution, large or small, will directly support the creation of accessible, purpose-built spaces where people with multiple disabilities can thrive.
This milestone would not have been possible without the loyal support of our students, families, carers, staff, volunteers and supporters. Your belief in our mission has enabled Parity to grow and continue striving for excellence in the services and support we provide.
Parity Chairman Owen Durrett: “The plans for the refurbishment are in place and the builder has been appointed. All that now remains is to complete the works and complete the move!”
We look forward to bringing you updates as the new service takes shape in the coming months, sharing progress on the refurbishment and the fit-out of our wonderful new space, and announcing our opening date.
