Sensory stories are all about bringing a story to life using your senses. Telling a sensory story involves using various items to create sensory experiences that mirror what’s happening in the story.
Ellen used the Visilift interactive screen at Parity to look on our Pinterest page, which showed her all the choices of sensory story we have available at the Camberley day service. She then independently picked the Rainforest one, by using her hand to click and confirm her choice.
The Rainforest story has pictures of the animals featured in the story, along with small cuddly toys representing each animal. We also use a rain shaker and music to help bring the sounds of the rainforest to life.
