On a breezy day in September, three diehard artists could be seen enjoying ‘on location’ painting at Puttenham Common.
Parity staff arranged the day in response to student Stephen’s wish to expand his art work to somewhere outside, and find new inspiration.
“Up till now Stephen had just been doing abstract painting and not really had a subject to work from,” Day Service Manager Darren Shergold said. Darren identified the ideal spot and the team made plans.
Stephen decided to invite two of his friends, Alan and Richard, to join him. Senior Keyworker Ian Hoole, who has an art degree and frequently supports students in their creative work, was also on hand.
They enjoyed several conversations with members of the public out walking their dogs, who expressed a great interest in what the guys were doing.
“The art work that they produced that day is excellent,” Darren said.
