Winter is definitely here and Day Service activity preparations for Christmas are underway. Differences of opinions as to when it is deemed appropriate to put up the decorations are the subject of many a fun conversation!
Unfortunately, the recent increase in Covid cases across the country has been reflected in increased infections within the services. With close monitoring of any student and staff symptoms and the reintroduction of weekly staff testing, we are usually able to pick up on any positive cases quickly and reintroduce additional measures where required. Staff are still required to wear facemasks indoors.
Unfortunately, we have had a couple of hospitalisations linked to Covid infections, thankfully, all is well now. Whilst we are aware of the need to find a way back to some level of normality, we are very grateful to all students/parents/carers for your diligence in not accessing services when poorly or experiencing Covid symptoms. This is even more important at this time of year, so we continue to respectfully request that if students are showing signs of colds, flu, illness and/or Covid that they remain at home, until symptoms have passed and if possible a Covid test has been carried out. Just a reminder as well that any students with sickness and/or diarrhoea must stay away from the service for 48 hours from the last bout.
