Our students enjoyed a fantastic performance from talented Irish dancers, with the chance to get up close, feeling the intricate fabrics of the outfits and taking a closer look at the different kinds of dancing shoes – soft shoes (ghillies) for females, reel shoes for males, both used for graceful, jumping dances like the reel and slip jig and hard shoes (jig shoes) with fiberglass tips and heels that are used for rhythmic, tapping dances.
A truly engaging and sensory experience for everyone involved.”
