Students Now Enjoying Yoga

Parity students like Sunil, here practising inhaling and exhaling with Keyworker Natalie, have begun to enjoy the benefits of yoga from specially trained Parity staff members.

Thanks to funding through Energise Me’s Investing in Communities project, supported by National Lottery funding and Sport England, staff completed an intensive course last year, and then shared their knowledge with further staff members.

They’re now in the process of building tailored programmes for students who want to try yoga. They hope to promote increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, and cardio and circulatory health – all primary concerns for students.

Yoga Update

Farnborough Senior Keyworker Emily Blackwood has developed a session for several students that includes stretches for staff too.
