Support from Crookham Street Social Club

Crookham Street Social Club, where Parity Keyworker Sam Gomez and her partner Anthony have been going for several years, regularly supports Parity through activities at the Club. Over the years, Club members have donated hundreds of pounds to Parity, helping provide the resources and equipment the students need.

“There’s a Parity pot included on the bar and we’re asked if we want to hold a raffle when a band or a singer is playing,” explained Sam. “We collect raffle prizes all through the year.”

Occasionally members will ask Anthony to run his disco karaoke system at an event and when this happens, the organiser donates to Parity instead of paying a fee. Using some of the donations, the Camberley day service students have even bought a disco karaoke machine for their own events and activities.

On top of all the fundraising, the Club’s support raises awareness of the importance of specialist services for people with multiple disabilities. Thank you to Sam, Anthony and members of the Crookham Street Social Club for helping ensure Parity delivers the high quality services the students need.
