As shared facilities, the church hall and adjoining rooms required our team to set up and pack away equipment every single day. Resources were brought out of storage each morning and carefully packed away again each evening. While the church community has been wonderfully supportive, and our dedicated staff continued to deliver a high-quality service, the environment itself was not fit for purpose and did not reflect the standard of care and dignity that people with multiple disabilities deserve.
Having a dedicated premises means our students will no longer have to adapt to a temporary, multi-use space. They will benefit from purpose-built facilities designed specifically for their needs, with consistent access to equipment, therapy spaces, and safe, accessible bathrooms. This stability allows staff to focus entirely on delivering high-quality care and learning experiences, rather than logistical challenges, and creates an environment where every student can participate fully, develop skills, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.
With this move to dedicated premises, Parity will be operating three high-quality day services, each grounded in a deep understanding of people with multiple disabilities and demonstrating that they are valued members of the community.
