Community Access & Inclusion
Beyond specialist day services, we want to ensure people with profound disabilities are meaningfully included in their local community.
We do this through partnerships, professional work placements, and projects tackling marginalisation.
Our delivery staff have roles that can span inclusion and accessibility projects.
- We work directly with local communities and partners to champion accessibility in public spaces such as parks, buildings and amenities
- We support the health and social care workforce through collaboration with universities and colleges to offer placements within Parity’s services, giving students in health and social care, nursing, and therapy valuable hands-on experience they can carry into their professional careers.
- We research and develop projects where people are being marginalised.
This enables us to respond to community needs and deliver lasting outcomes for people with profound disabilities.
